Protect PDF
NewAdd a password to any PDF with AES-256 encryption on the server. One-click download, no extra settings.
Protect PDF adds a single password to your document so only people who know it can open the file. It is meant for everyday sharing when you want a simple barrier, not a complex rights policy.
The tool always uses strong AES-256 encryption through the open-source qpdf utility on the server. There are no encryption or permission menus: after someone opens the PDF with the password, they can print and copy like a normal file.
Your upload exists only as a temporary file during processing. It is encrypted, sent back as a download, and removed from the server. We do not keep your PDF or password.
